Your Union, AFGE Local 31, recently filed a Grievance on behalf of all Title 5 and Title 38 hybrid bargaining unit employees because the VA did not properly compensate employees and continues not to properly compensate employees for overtime work. We are now gathering information to determine which employees may be entitled to back pay and other related compensation. Overtime work includes work performed during your lunch period and work at any time outside of your regularly scheduled days or hours – such as starting work early or leaving work late or performing any work on off-days. This also includes things like checking or responding to work emails or taking work-related phone calls while in an unpaid status.
